HMV organized Farewell Function Rukhsat 2017

A Farewell Function Rukhsat 2017 with the tagline handing over the world to you to conquer was organized in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 27th April, 2017 to bid farewell to the outgoing students of undergraduate classes of all faculties with great enthusiasm and nostalgia and to wish them a great future. The function began with the welcome of the Principal and a lamp lighting ceremony by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and the recital of DAV Gaan.

The students presented a very entertaining cultural programme in honour of the outgoing classes in the form of a Mono Acting, Rap and Dance Performances. They also played games. Students of outgoing classes participated in Modelling Contest which was judged by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Mrs. Sangeeta Bhandari and Mrs. Shikha Chhabra.

A valedictory message was presented by Miss Rajwinder, Head Girl of the college. She thanked the institution and her juniors while reflecting on the youthful frivolity they had enjoyed during their long stay in the institution. On the behalf of the juniors, Amisha gave her best wishes and assured her seniors that time could never act as a barrier between them. The traditional Vidya Jyoti was handed over to the juniors as a mark of responsibility that they are to shoulder in their absence. Mrs. Archana Kapoor, Dean Student Council blessed the students with her kind and motivating words.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen addressed the gathering and motivated the students to aim for higher targets in life. She conferred her best wishes with the hope that they shall respect the values imbibed during their stay in this seat of learning.

On the basis of the three Modelling rounds, different titles were awarded to the students. Title of Ms. Ethnic was won by Ms. Nishu and that of Ms. Stylish by Ms. Sunaina. Ms. Akshita and Ms. Navjot were declared as Miss HMV 1st Runners up and Miss HMV 2nd runners up respectively. Finally Ms. Rajwinder was crowned with the title of Miss HMV. Students were given appreciation prizes for preparing a video on glimpses of HMV and for their varied performances on the stage. The stage was conducted by our students Ms. Richa and Ms. Gurpal under the guidance of our faculty members Mrs. Binoo Sondhi and Dr. Nidhi Kochhar. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Urvashi. On this occasion, Dean Academics Mrs. M. Syal, Dean Sports Mrs. Sudarshan Kang, Dean Exam. Mrs. Mamta, Dean Discipline Mrs. Neety Sood, Dean Youth Welfare Mrs. Navroop and other faculty members were also present.
